With the Feminist Gender Equality Network (FGEN), we wrote to Angela Rayner, expressing our deep disappointment regarding her statement on June 7th claiming that J.K. Rowling supports trans people, and explaining the importance of considering trans voices when discussing trans issues.
On the 12th July 2024, we wrote to Wes Streeting, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care expressing our concern regarding your position on the emergency puberty blockers ban.
On the 3rd July 2024, we wrote to Anneliese Dodds following comments by Keir Starmer in an interview in The Times. We asked Mrs Dodds for clarifications on the Labour Party’s stance on trans people’s rights, and our concerns that should the Labour Party come into power, they will seek to make changes to the Equality Act (2010) to make it easier to discriminate against trans people.
On the 1st of June 2024, we wrote to Anneliese Dodds, Shadow Secretary of State for Women and Equalities expressing our concerns regarding the treatment and policies affecting the transgender community in the UK and the wider sentiment of LGBTQ+ hostility.
