Letter to Anneliese Dodds 3rd July 2024

On the 3rd July 2024, we wrote to Anneliese Dodds, Shadow Secretary of State for Women and Equalities, following comments by Keir Starmer in an interview in The Times (here), where when asked should trans women be permitted to use “women-only spaces”, he said: “No. They don’t have that right. They shouldn’t”.

We asked Mrs Dodds for clarifications on the Labour Party’s stance on trans people’s rights, and our concerns that should the Labour Party come into power, they will seek to make changes to the Equality Act (2010) to make it easier to discriminate against trans people.
